Stuck

I feel like I have a lot going on right now.  Planning a simple yet beautiful shower for my cousin. Cake orders are finally starting to roll in for the spring and summer months. Easter is around the corner. Planning a "mini vacation" with my little family. My everyday responsibilities.  Finishing up the last of my spring cleaning. There is more but my brain is overwhelmed with information right now.  All this has lead to a decline in the number of blogs I am posting.  I needed to take a break from the brain for a little while, and have some (quick) one on one time with my blog.
My brother completed the police academy.  I am so happy for him. I do not even have the words to explain. how excited I am for him.  He has wanted to be a police officer since he was two or three years old.  He worked really (really) hard to get to this point, and it appears as though his back breaking hard work is paying off.
On a different note...for the last few weeks I have been feeling like I am standing still and everyone around me is rushing by.  I was on a fast track for a while, and now I feel like I have hit a brick wall.  Do I go up and over?  Do I walk around the side?  Do I walk?  Do I sprint?  Or do I stand still?  Just because I have a lot going on does not mean I am making any progress or going anywhere.  I am stuck.  I am not sure what the answer is.  I am a right now kind of person, so not having answers...well, it sucks to be frank.  I have never been a "live in the safety zone" kind of person, but I think I have been leaning that way more and more which is why I have hit the brick wall.  Where to go from here?  It is all part of the journey.  I know that.  I just hope I can find some answers soon.

For the Love of a Cadbury Creme Egg

I love creme eggs...not just any creme eggs though it must be a Cadbury Creme Egg.  I easily put away...well lets just say every Easter season I put away a lot more than a dozen Cadbury Creme Eggs.  It's my splurge.  I love candies and desserts all year long, but this is the only time of year I go overboard.  I love them.  I crave them.  I always have and I always will.  The Easter Bunny always made sure there were Cadbury Creme Eggs in my Easter basket.  I heard through the grapevine today that now there is a Cadbury Creme Twist.  It's like a candy bar version of the eggs.  Oh save me now!  I have to get my Cadbury addiction under control before my metabolism slows down, and I start gaining lots of weight from my addiction.
They are just so good.  I almost died when I found this picture of the eggs being made in the factory.

Let me just dive in there now!
So before my next statement, let me give you a little insight.  I worked at a Baskin Robbins for 5 years.  I loved my job there, and I loved the ice cream.  I would dream up flavors that I thought would be popular.  At one point they read my mind when they came up with a flavor that had chocolate covered pretzels in it.  Oh my how I love pretzels. So here's the statement I was getting to...
I have dreamt of a Cadbury Creme ice cream for as long as I can remember.  Milk chocolate ice cream, with a creme filling ribbon, and chunks of Cadbury Creme Eggs.  Oh BR would totally sell something like that!  And I would totally be the first person in line to buy a couple gallons of it.  Seriously, who at Baskin Robbins and Cadbury do I need to contact about this?

Look how beautiful and wonderful they are!
Then I found this...

If anyone would like to donate this car to me, I would happily take it.  I drive. I drive a lot.  Like all over the DFW metroplex, and I would be happy to advertise for Cadbury by driving this thing!
I love you Cadbury!

Happy Birthday Tuck!

Today is Tuck's birthday.  I keep telling him he is an old man, even though it is not true, and I keep reminding him that I can only dish it out so when my birthday rolls around in June I better not hear any old talk.  We are not even thirty yet, I just like to give him a hard time. I baked a chocolate cake and let the girls decorate it.  Teeter Bees is my little artist.  Every inch much be covered and it needs to look just right.  While, Bowbas ate more of the decorations than she actually put on the cake.
About a month ago Teeter Bees and I went to Hobby Lobby.  We were looking around at the party decorations and invitations when she spotted the pinatas.  "What is that!" We rolled the cart over to get a better look and I explained what a pinata was.  She LOVED the typical Mexican multicolored donkey pinata.  From then on it was all she could talk about it. All day she would talk about her birthday party, that is not until July, and the pinata that would be present.  Although I have every intention of getting a pinata for her birthday, I thought she would get a kick out of having one for Tuck's birthday too.  So I went out to the same Hobby Lobby, grabbed the last donkey pinata they had, picked up a bag of candy and headed home.  I am not sure that she has ever been so excited before.  Teeter was having a cow when I pulled that pinata out of the shopping bag.  Both the girls helped me fill it with candy.
Tuck loved it!  He said it was the best birthday ever. He really liked that the babies were so involved and he really loved everything, the cake, the pinata, and the dinner.  We knew Teeter Bees would have her little heart broken if we smashed the pinata, and they did not have a pull string pinata in that shape. So we held it up, Tuck batted at it with his hands, and I dumped it over and shook it so some of the candy fell out.  The girls loved it!  Everyone had such a great time, and I am so glad that Tuck had a great birthday!
